Job Description

Highly motivated, ambitious, driven and talented postdoctoral fellow are sought to join a research program that studies the inhibition of viral replication by innate immunity in vivo. Recently, we have developed knockout mice models for different innate immune factors and plan to investigate how these proteins affect viral replication. The individual is expected to join a fast pace moving environment. The laboratory is located in the new Price Center Building, a recently constructed state-of-the-art biomedical research facility centrally located on the campus of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Funding is currently available for up to 3 years, with the possibility of further extensions.​

This program aims to gain immunological and cellular biological understanding of the mechanism by which different innate immune factors block viral replication in vivo :

1) recent PhD or MD/Ph.D degree,

2) experience in mouse immunology,

3) experience handling transgenic and knockout mice,

4) Multicolor
flow cytometry,

5) experience in viral or other pathogen challenge in mice.
