Work Location
response, including but not limited to astrocytes, in central
nervous system injury. We are in the Spinal Cord & Brain Injury
Research Center and affiliated with the Department of
Neuroscience. We use a combination of mouse genetics,
experimental central nervous system (CNS) injury models, mouse
behavioral assays, and cellular and molecular biology to
understand the contribution of glia to CNS repair. We are seeking
highly motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative candidates.
Nuclei of research interests in neurotrauma, aging-related
neurodegeneration, and neuroscience at the University of
Kentucky provide a stimulating environment and ample
opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. Recent Ph.D.
graduates of neurobiology, cellular and molecular biology, or
research background relevant to our lab’s interests will be
preferred. Qualified candidates are encouraged to email the
